1- Establish your goals.
What is it that you really want out of these platforms? Do you want more views, visits per day, more clicks? Remember you can’t just say, “I want more customers” you have to think, how you are going to get those customers. Your first goal of social media marketing is to attract people.

2- Understand the needs of your audience.
Think about what questions your target audience might have. Make sure you are answering these in your posts.

3- Post Often
Posting often, increases the chances of people seeing your posts. There are websites you can “pre-set” posts to send out at certain times. So you don’t have to remember to post everyday but you can set up a post to be sent out every day by using these websites.

4- Fun Content
People want to enjoy what they are looking at. The more pictures and videos you have along with your post the more likely someone is to click on it or read it. They also want to know you are a human. Stay away from making the content dry and “corporate.” Try to relate to the target customer.

5- Engage Users
People like to see you reply to them. If they have a harsh comment do not attack them,  take their response and use it to your advantage. Maybe they are opening your eyes to a serious problem you need to address.

6- Simple and Consistent
Keep your posts short and to the point, nobody wants to read a novel while they are scrolling through their Facebook newsfeed. Also keep the language of your posts consistent, have the verbiage come from the voice of your brand.

7- Share your links
Make sure on each of of your social media pages, there are links to all of your other pages. This way people can easily navigate from one to the next and become more familiar with your business. This will create more traffic on your pages and hopefully bring more people to your website to buy your product/service.
